About Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Adelson

Mary Beth first knew early on that she had a passion for real estate. Throughout multiple co-op purchases and sales for herself and family in Manhattan, where others dreaded the process of finding and buying or selling a home, she was thrilled by coming up with a strategy and overcoming the challenges necessary to buy and sell in New York. Now, as an award winning broker with Douglas Elliman, helping others buy and sell real estate in NYC remains a passion, but has also become a very successful career.

Mary Beth has been a resident in and around the Upper East side for over 20 years. She and her husband are the parents of a second grader at Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and as a former New York City School teacher, she is uniquely aware of the ins and outs of the considerations and concerns of families with school aged children buying or relocating in the city. Prior to going into real estate, Mary Beth graduated law school, and worked at a high net worth family office where she ensured her employer's business and personal needs were met. These experiences have provided her with a skill set that benefits the clients she works with every day in navigating the complicated Manhattan housing market.

Mary Beth has found it important to give back to NYC, and is involved in a number of charitable pursuits. She holds volunteer leadership positions with the Central Park Women's Committee and All Souls Preschool, the New York Horticultural Society and other charitable organizations throughout the city.

She would welcome the chance to put her passion to work in helping you sell your current residence, or find the perfect property for you to call home!
